Enable the local AI assistant, pick a model and make your first request.

ORA is the AI assistant of rumahl OS. By default it runs entirely locally on your hardware — your prompts never leave your device.
Enabling ORA
- 1Open the ORA app from the launcher (or the Assist panel in the dashboard).
- 2Enable the assistant in the ORA settings.
- 3Pick a local model matching your RAM: smaller models run fast on 4 GB, larger ones on 8 GB+.
- 4Test your first prompt — e.g. “What is today's energy usage?”
Allowing ORA to act (optional)
ORA can not only answer, but also act: suggest automations, analyse logs, control devices. Any action that needs access to files, cameras or energy data asks for permission like any other app.
ORA has no special powers: any action that needs access to files, cameras or energy data asks for permission like any other app.
